Are you an energy-related start-up in the Central Asian region and want to promote your innovative business idea?
Step 1: Submit application form and upload a max 3 minute video in which you present your product/ business idea (max. file size 30 MB) Deadline: 8 September 2019
Step 3: The winner of the competition will be selected by an independent jury of energy experts
Step 2: The top candidates passing the pre-selection process will be invited to EIF to present their start-up idea in a 5 minute TED talk (travel expenses will be covered)
Eligibility Criteria: The company should:
work in an energy-related field
have less than 100 employees
be based in Afghanistan, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyz Republic, Mongolia, Pakistan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan or People’s Republic of China
Evaluation Criteria: Your startup idea will be evaluated on the five core areas (weighted equally):
Relevance: Proven relevance to present-day energy issues in the Central Asian region
Customer Validation: What is the value proposition to customers?
Business Model: How do you plan to make this a successful business?
Technological Innovation: Start-ups should prove the innovative edge of their envisaged product What will you gain? The winner of the contest will:
Receive a sponsored participation to ADB’s Asia Clean Energy Forum 2020 (ACEF 2020) in Manila which will take place in June 2020 (including flight and hotel costs)
Get an official booth at ACEF 2020 to promote your startup idea
Be granted an interview video on ADB’s official webpage
