Samir Valiyev
He was born in Baku in 1962.
He was graduated from Kiev State University with specialization in international economic relations and English language in 1984.
He was involved in pedagogical activity in Azerbaijan State Economic University during the period of 1984-1992.
He has been taken managerial positions at the Ministry of Foreign Economic Relations, Ministry of Trade, Ministry of State Property, Ministry of Economic Development, Ministry of Economy and Industry and Ministry of Economy during the period of 1992-2017.
He has been serving as the Deputy Minister of Energy of the Republic of Azerbaijan since 2017.
He was awarded with a medal of “Distinguished Civil Service Award” by the Order No. 798 of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, dated October 21, 2014.
He is a Doctor of philosophy in Economics.
He is fluent in Azerbaijani, Russian and English.
He is married and has 2 children.
