Mr. Aurelien Pillet

Aurelien Pillet is a senior climate finance specialist at BASE with experience in international development and a focus on sustainable energy. For the past 8 years, Aurélien has been working on energy efficiency, energy access, and renewable energy project financing, policy analysis, and technical assistance in Africa and Asia. He has gathered strong expertise in market and feasibility studies, investment structuring and negotiation, financing mechanism and business model development and implementation, project management, and policy recommendation. Aurélien is currently managing technical assistance projects in a number of client countries to promote market transformation towards energy-efficient and climate-friendly appliances and equipment through innovative market-based financing mechanisms. BASE’s active portfolio of climate mitigation and adaptation activities currently includes flagship projects in India, Mongolia, and Tajikistan.
