Ms. Suzanne Gaboury

Director General, ADB

Suzanne Gaboury is Director General of ADB’s Private Sector Operations Department where she leads ADB’s private sector investment across several sectors in ADB’s developing member countries. Suzanne has more than 28 years of professional experience in private sector finance and emerging markets with extensive international networks and stakeholder relationships. Suzanne’s experience has included transformational climate action projects in infrastructure, renewable energy, agribusiness, and financial institutions sectors. She has direct experience in more than 70 countries, including some 40 emerging economies.

Prior to ADB, Suzanne was the Chief Investment Officer of FinDev Canada where she was responsible for FinDev Canada’s strategic vision in their 72 countries of operation. She has also served in various capacities including as Global Director Agribusiness, Food and Water, at FMO, the Dutch Development Bank in the Hague. Suzanne was also Managing Director of Cordiant Capital, a private emerging market fund manager, and had spent over 10 years at the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD).

Suzanne holds a Master’s in Business Administration from the National University of Ireland’s Smurfit Graduate School of Business, and a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from the University of Alberta. Suzanne has also completed the Harvard Business School Executive education.
