Ms. Milou Beerepoot

Regional Technical Advisor, Energy, UNDP
Milou Beerepoot is a Regional Technical Specialist for Climate Change Mitigation and Energy based in the UNDP Bangkok Regional Hub. She is responsible for Development & Management of a portfolio of GEF (Global Environment Facility) and GCF (Green Climate Fund) projects on Clean Energy and provides policy advice on Energy Access, Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy to UNDP country offices and government partners in the Asia Pacific region. Prior to joining UNDP, Milou was working in Bangkok as a programme director at GIZ (Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit) as well as an associate professor at the Joint Graduate School of Energy and Environment (JGSEE) of King Monkut University in Bangkok. Before coming to Bangkok in August 2012, Ms Beerepoot was a senior analyst in the Renewable Energy Division of the International Energy Agency (IEA/OECD) in Paris, where she focused on effective policy tools and strategies to increase deployment of renewable heating and cooling in the building and industry sector. Milou holds a Master Degree of Eindhoven University of Technology (NL) and a PhD in energy policy from Delft University of Technology (NL).
