Mr. Oleksandr Antonenko

Mr Oleksandr (Sasha) Antonenko is a wide-profile energy expert with extensive experience in supporting the development of a sustainable energy legislative framework. He holds two Master’s degrees in Finance and Renewable Energy and a PhD in Economics. Mr Antonenko joined the International Energy Charter as an Energy Efficiency Coordinator in 2017 and has been a Head of the Energy Efficiency Unit since June 2020. From 2010 to 2016, he was an Energy Governance and Sustainable Energy Policy Expert under the EU-funded INOGATE Programme. During 2005-2010 he headed a department of energy tariff policy and marketing researches of Ukrenergoconsulting. During his career, Mr Antonenko implemented more than 30 technical assistance and capacity building projects targeting the improvement of sustainable energy policy in Eastern Europe, Caucasus and Central Asia.
